McManamy's Highly Acclaimed New Book
Now in its third printing after just two months!
"I doubt there is a person in the world who knows these conditions
better, inside and out, than John McManamy, a wonderful writer and
psychiatric autodidact in the best sense of the word."
Meet John McManamy Eight years ago, I was battling for my life against a suicidal depression. Soon after, at age 49, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, an illness I had struggled with all my life, but had long denied. With no other choice but to recognize the obvious, I finally got smart. Once I was able to crawl out from under the covers I went to the computer and discovered the internet. That was the beginning of a long and rewarding journey that led to the establishment of an award-winning email Newsletter and website, McMan's Depression and Bipolar Weekly, and McMan's Depression and Bipolar Web. I am a former financial journalist with a law degree. Through my website and Newsletter, I have turned my struggles into a lifelong dedication to helping others battling depression and bipolar disorder reclaim their lives. About Living Well with Depression and Bipolar Disorder Living Well with Depression and Bipolar Disorder is the result of more than six years of research involved in producing my award-winning email Newsletter and Website, McMan’s Depression and Bipolar Weekly and McMan’s Depression and Bipolar Web. The book reflects my uncompromising commitment over the years to provide patients and loved ones with information we so vitally need to manage our illness, in partnership with our treating professionals. It is the first book on mood disorders written by a patient that covers the clinical and scientific issues in depth. The result is a book that is very different than the standard patients’ guides written by psychiatrists and therapists. Find out more about Living Well with Depression and Bipolar Disorder |
